diesel generator

A combination of a diesel engine, a generator, and a variety of ancillary components such as chassis, overhead chambers, sound insulation, control systems, circuit breakers, heat generators, automatic starters, etc., used to generate electricity.

Generator motors can generate power from 1 to 20 kV (KVA) for homes, shops, small offices, and can be used for large office complexes and factories. A 2000 kV generator can be housed in a portable insulated compartment. 5 MW generators are used for small power stations and several generators can be used for this purpose. Generators in larger sizes are transported separately to the installation site, where assembly and ancillary equipment are added.

Small diesel generators

Small diesel generators up to 250 kVA are used not only to generate emergency power but also to supply the required power continuously either at peak consumption or even when larger generators are lacking. Ships and many large land vehicles, such as trains, also use diesel generators not only to provide lighting power but also to provide the propulsion they need. With electric propulsion, more uniform and powerful movement can be done in addition to more appropriate use of space.
